From CF sinus surgeries to hemoptysis, Julia and I discuss a few reoccurring challenges that can pop up. Julia is a veteran of two sinus surgeries, so she explains how she was able to overcome her fear of anesthesia and accept the mission of the procedure. She has learned how to weigh the predicted benefits against any reservations she may feel.
On the other side of things, I talk about my issue with reoccurring hemoptysis, or bouts of coughing up blood. While they typically aren’t too bad, they can prove to be a nuisance for me. I talk about some strategies I have when it comes to dealing with and preventing the problem.
Making it Matter this week is Emily Bonney. She’s an 18 year old with CF and is headed off to the Cheerleading World Championship to represent England.
