Gunnar’s girlfriend Darcy joins the podcast to give her perspective on dating someone with cystic fibrosis. Darcy shares how it took Gunnar well over a year to allow her to “help” out with his fight against CF – the couple has been dating for 2 and a half years now. Gunnar laughingly remembers that Darcy had to explicitly spell it out for him one time! Darcy has proven to be a huge emotional support for Gunnar, helping him utilize effective coping mechanisms, while Gunnar shares that Darcy’s willingness to dive in and learn anything new (CF related or not) is what keeps their relationship strong!
